The first in their interview series, Avid & Co caught up with the lovely Chris Reid to chat all things model life and what goes on away from the lens action!

How did you get into modelling?

A couple of my close friends asked me if I would do a bit of modelling for them, so I thought why not, and since then it has been a kind of a snowball affect. The more I did, the more I was getting noticed

What do you enjoy most about being involved in this industry?

Meeting new people all the time and seeing new places

Favourite project youve been involved with to date?

My recent campaign with Footasylum

Whats your biggest motivation and drive to succeed?

To make my mum and family proud, because they support me a lot. Also, I want to make the industry more diverse

Biggest influences on your career to date?

I would say my friends, we are all motivated in whatever we do, so we keep each other on the job.

Do you have any rituals when preparing for shoots? If so, what are they?

No, but I will always listen to music before a shoot

What five travel essentials do you have that you can't go without?

Cocoa butter, hair brush, iphone charger, water and headphones

How do you wind down after a long day of shooting and travelling?

Depends really, I like to chill out, listen to music or watch a film

What would you be doing now if you weren't a model?

I have a big passion for music and dj'ing, so I would probably be pushing that
