Smokin Jo is a renowned British DJ with 35 years of experience, known for her cutting-edge sound and iconic presence in clubland. She has played at world-famous venues like Hi Ibiza, Fabric London, Panorama Bar Berlin, Pacha Ibiza, Glastonbury, and Defected Croatia Festival.

Jo's autobiography, You Don’t Need A Dick To DJ, shares her journey from growing up without music in the '70s, to her modeling career in the '80s, and struggles as a black female DJ. She has collaborated with legends in music, film, and fashion, opening for Grace Jones, playing at Skunk Anansie’s album launch, and working with designers like Alexander McQueen.

Jo’s DJ career began in the early '90s, when she noticed the lack of female DJs in the rave scene. She soon gained residencies and recognition, earning DJ of the Year. Jo’s diverse talents extend beyond music—she’s also a qualified yoga teacher, blending her passions for yoga, dance, and music into uplifting yoga classes.
