Alice D
Alice D is a London-born R&B singer with a unique soulful vibe. Growing up she was surrounded by music; her mother, Sara Dallin from the group Bananarama and her father, a singer / songwriter in the band TRI and who has danced with the likes of Michael Jackson and Tina Turner, so you could say music and talent runs in her blood. Alice has also been influenced by various other musical icons such as Aaliyah and Brandy, and with the 2017 release of 'I Don't Owe You,' the song showcased Alice's dulcet tones & lyrical ability. It also received radio attention & was played on 'BBC Introducing' on BBC Radio London.
In early 2018 Alice started writing and recording with her good friend, musician and producer Oscar Scheller, (who’s worked with artists such as Mabel and MNEK). The two of them have worked together for years and as teenagers they released tracks they recorded in Oscar’s bedroom. With more experience under their belts they collaborated on the 5 track EP ‘NARCISSUS.’ Since its release in December 2018 the EP received critical acclaim with Spindle Magazine stating that Alice is the “prolific songwriter we all need,” and Women in Pop Magazine declaring it an “end of year highlight.”
Alice’s latest release, single CLOSER is a smooth disco funk concoction, dripping in 70's vibes and old school energy, and created entirely in isolation during lockdown.
