Wannabe Models

If you are seriously thinking about becoming a model there are several things you need to know, and several steps you need to take:

Don't spend any money...yet
Get a clear recent snap shot taken and come into the agency Monday to Friday between 10.00am and noon only. If this is impossible, then send your photo (or photos) in with a S.A.E. or email your photo to wannabe@nevs.co.uk. Be prepared for rejection: even at this early stage it can hurt. Look after yourself
Eat well, sleep well, avoid smoking, avoid drinking, go to the gym, drink water not wine. It won't secure you a contract right away but it will help! Taking care of yourself is of the utmost importance - skin, nails, eyes, hair will all benefit from early nights and a healthy diet.

Invest in your career
You will need to build up your portfolio through testing with various photographers. This will cost you money as you pay for the film and the developing and sometimes the photographer's time. Once you have some good shots, a composite card will be made up which again you have to pay for. Be prepared to invest back into your career - do not expect to earn any real profit for the first year.
