We caught up for a quick chat with the beautiful model | actress | former Miss England Laura Coleman whilst on sunny poolside location in Turkey (well someones got to do it)
Hometown: Melton Mowbray - yes, where the pork pies are made :)
How were you discovered?
I was first scouted when I was 14. I was food shopping in Marks and Spencer's in Nottingham with my mum and a scout from London came up to me!
What makes Laura tick?
Working hard, loving deeply, having a good laugh, and keeping healthy
What is your most treasured possession?
Sadly, my iPhone...
I love all fashion, so I don't really have a favourite designer - but I like to shop in Zadig and Volitare, or The Kooples, as I love the plain but chic style
Couldn’t live without?
My face cream.. Creme de la mer
Currently on your playlist?
Fleetwood Mac - Greatest Hits
What makes you smile?
My dogs, I have two Italian greyhounds - their personalities are so funny. I also love having a laugh with my friends
Most recent purchase?
A new handbag
Fave movie of all time?
Has to be Labyrinth or Never Ending Story - addicted to all the series on Netflix too!
Highlight of your career so far?
So many highlights! I feel so happy to have a job that I love so much, every day is different and I'm always meeting new, amazing people
Can you sum yourself up in three words?
Loving, chatty, and bonkers
What are your model must haves?
My heels, my portfolio, healthy snacks galore, lipstick, headphones, phone charger, and a good book
The World According to Garp
It used to be swimming under water but I learnt to like it! I also hate the noise of cotton wool or towels between someone's teeth! GAH!
Whats your secret to a happy life?
Spreading good vibes, kindness and being light hearted. Keep a smile on your face and surround yourself with good honest people (we hear ya!)
Your mantra is?
Beauty tips you swear by?
I keep my skin clear from drinking lots of water and a healthy balanced diet, but I always keep a simple skincare regime which consists of using Bioderma to take off my make up, and creme de la mer thick moisturiser. If I've been wearing heavy make up for a shoot then I always exfoliate my face afterwards with The Refiner by Creme de la mer. I don't tend to wear any moisturiser at night because I like to let my skin breathe
Obsessed with right now?
Good coffee is my constant obsession, and dogs! If I see a dog in the street I'm like ahhhhhhhhh!
What do you think is the key to a good work / life balance?
I always chill the night before a shoot so I feel energised and fresh the next day. I also try to be organised with packing bags and food. I relax when I can, go to the gym 4 times a week and then make time to see my friends and family at weekends. It all fits in somehow :-) Balance is the key
What does the rest of 2016 hold for you - anything exciting in the pipeline?
I like to live in the present and take each day as it comes. I have been having acting lessons so hopefully plan to get a great acting agent this year and maybe even some small parts (if I'm lucky!). I was in a Guy Richie film last year that comes out soon..
